Dr. Al Darei also reiterated the unrelenting support of Awqaf to mosques, with a view to promoting their mission, and improving their aesthetic appearance and architecture so that they remain oases of faith and beacons of scientific, spiritual and cultural knowledge, ensuring happiness and serenity for all worshipers, noting that the launch of this initiative reflects the vision of His Highness the President of the State- may Allah protect him- in utilizing and maintaining resources in addition to developing the revegetation process in order to sustain the environment and climate quality. He added that this initiative is introduced to bolster the national programme “Plant the Emirates”, which designed to continue the legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed- may Allah rest his soul in peace- in respect of agriculture and humanitarian charity field. Moreover, it serves as a continuation of Awqaf’s previous initiatives focused on planting and greening mosques vicinities, thereby encouraging the public to increase vegetation cover by planting more green trees in cities and communities.
